Elena Martinez-Vivot is a fourth-year Political Science student at Colorado College who is passionate about voting. Her work has mainly focused on increasing voter turnout amongst students on her campus along with bridging the gap between CC and the local community. In 2019, Elena helped to organize a debate for the Colorado Springs City 

Elena Martinez-Vivot is a fourth-year Political Science student at Colorado College who is passionate about voting. Her work has mainly focused on increasing voter turnout amongst students on her campus along with bridging the gap between CC and the local community. In 2019, Elena helped to organize a debate for the Colorado Springs City Council elections in partnership with UCCS and PPCC. She is currently the chair of CC Votes, Colorado Colleges Campus Votes Initiative and was a founding member of the COEYAC.

He is currently finishing a Master’s in International Business at CU Denver and is the Vice President of the Student Government Association for the 2020-21 academic year. His academic background, which has led

  Fabián Laguna graduated from CU Boulder in 2016 with a degree in Humanities and minors in Global Business and Religious Studies. He is currently finishing a Master’s in International Business at CU Denver and is the Vice President of the Student Government Association for the 2020-21 academic year. His academic background, which has led him to study international business, combines his passion for history, culture, and literary analysis with practical business experiences. Currently he works in restaurants, interns at a global startup, and leads the student government. During his free time he enjoys working out, reading, writing, and socializing.

  Fernanda is a freshman in college at Metropolitan State University, going for her Bachelor Degree in Science and planning to be a maternity nurse. Fernanda is a first-generation Latina student who is passionate about using her voice for to speak out on what she believes is always important - having the chance to vote for your community.

Fernanda is a first-generation Latina student who is passionate about using her voice for to speak out on what she believes is always important - having the chance to vote for your community. Fernanda says to help other and not just yourself is an amazing feeling and she wants others to take part, using their voices to better our community, and she want youth to know your voice does matter.

    Jack Reader is currently an undergraduate political science student at Arapahoe Community College. His goals are to pursue a law degree in constitutional or first amendment rights afterward. Jack currently serves as a member of the Student Government Association, as an employee of Colorado Community Colleges, and enjoys volunteering at the Parker Task Force when he can. He’s passionate about advocation for individual rights and seeing to it that everyone is given the same rights that our constitution guarantees. Jack says “That's why I believe the Colorado Youth Advisory Council is such a great organization because it serves to help young voters understand all their rights.”

  Kim Johnson served as the State Student Advisory Council for Arapahoe Community College, which advises the State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE) on matters of interest and concern to all CCCS students. Kim is also a member of PTK, NSLS and served as the student advisor for the Colorado Department of Highe

  Kim Johnson served as the State Student Advisory Council for Arapahoe Community College, which advises the State Board of Community Colleges and Occupational Education (SBCCOE) on matters of interest and concern to all CCCS students. Kim is also a member of PTK, NSLS and served as the student advisor for the Colorado Department of Higher Education. Additionally, Kim served in a fellowship position with the Campus Election Engagement Project to elevate civic engagement education for her peers and has worked with the Biden campaign during the 2020 election cycle. Kim as a passion for advocacy efforts and believes in empowering everyone to know the power of their own voice. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in social work.

   Marley Weaver-Gabel is an alumni of Regis University, located in North Denver. Marley pursued a degree in international business and interpersonal and intercultural communication. Marley currently serves as the part-time Rocky Mountain Policy Fellow for Young Invincibles, researching policy areas of health care, higher education, and workforce development. She works full-time in the Office of Correspondence in the Governor's Office. Her passion around public service comes from an understanding that civic engagement and democratic participation requires all of us to show up for each other. The privilege to vote and elect representatives, pass amendments and propositions, and participate in shaping our communities is a responsibility we all hold and the more accessible this is, the more people power we have to shape a city, state, and country that is home for all of us.

      Mikayla Cervantes is a senior at the Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver, CO. She is currently the leader of her school Latinx group, which works to unite Latinx families, staff, and students. Her other clubs include- Colors United Affinity Group, Book Club, and the International Thespian Society. Mikayla worked to register voters and helped organize events to promote the national Census in 2020. Since a young age, she has been passionate about math and is excited to enroll in the aerospace engineering program at CU Boulder, next year. When not working, you can find Mikayla playing piano, watching K-Dramas, or making Mexican food with her family.

       Robin Lamoreaux is a Rampart Highschool Graduate with a passion for voting rights and accessibility. They are an aspiring storyboard and freelance artist. Robin is also an advocate for disability and LGBTQ+ rights, and an active member of the Inside Out Youth Advisory Council. Robin strives to deliver a positive message of inclusivity and justice into the world

       Sophie Cardin (she/her) is a third-year Boettcher Scholar at Colorado College. Her principal academic interest is political thought. Sophie serves as the National Director for the National Coalition of Student Leaders and the Vice President of Outreach for the Colorado College Student Government Association. She represents Colorado

Sophie serves as the National Director for the National Coalition of Student Leaders and the Vice President of Outreach for the Colorado College Student Government Association. She represents Colorado College to the Colorado Student Government Coalition. Sophie works as a writing tutor and helps to run an abolitionist organizing collective. She is also a 2020 Jewish Changemaker Fellow. Sophie enjoys drinking coffee, reading, and writing poetry. To relax, Sophie throws pots, but not at anyone, usually.

         Theodore-Sky ’Teddy’ Weiss has served as Spokesman for Together For Together Springs, a local moderate civic group seeking to help solve common-sense issues in the Pikes Peak Region; a Research Analyst in Belgrade at the Centre for Nonviolent Action and Strategies (CANVAS), where he helped combat authoritarians around the world, 

         Theodore-Sky ’Teddy’ Weiss has served as Spokesman for Together For Together Springs, a local moderate civic group seeking to help solve common-sense issues in the Pikes Peak Region; a Research Analyst in Belgrade at the Centre for Nonviolent Action and Strategies (CANVAS), where he helped combat authoritarians around the world, working for Srdja Popovic, the number one global activist in the world. He is currently an elected board member to international non-profit Build A Movement (BAM), which helps grassroots activists build skills for strategic nonviolence, movement building, and digital security. At Colorado College, you’ll find him running city council races, organizing on-campus, sitting on campus-wide committees, being a witness on his Mock Trial team, working out, meditating, or reading one of his three weekly books.

          Yami Velazquez is a senior at Basalt High School. She is a part of many clubs at her school from Book Club, Key Club, Gay Straight Student Alliance, Student Council, Pre-Collegiate program and National Honor Society. As part of National Honor Society Yami and other members organized a "Get Out the vote” seminar to help increase

As part of National Honor Society Yami and other members organized a "Get Out the vote” seminar to help increase the amount of young adult voters. Yami is empowered by everyday obstacles to make sure that a change is made and hopes to inspire others to try new things. Volunteering and helping out the community is one of her main motivations because as she states “this world is beautiful we just have to make sure we bring the beauty out and make it even better than what it is now.”
